C&G: We are here to share your new children’s book “All I Want,” but first let’s talk about Chanz’e Marie Witcher. Share with us just who Chanz’e is and what inspires you to write.
CMW: I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I am the second oldest child out of nine children. I have one brother and seven sisters. I cannot live without books. I love traveling and meeting different people from all walks of life. I am intrigued at the thought of always learning something new. I have been a really big dreamer my entire life and knew right away as a child that I wanted to be an author. As a child I was fascinated and immersed myself in tons of books. I fell in love with books because it provided an outlet for me to be myself and took me away from the ways of the world because I was used to traveling alone. As my passion for reading grew I got creative and started writing on the Big Red Indian chief tablet. Finally after going through mounds of books, I no longer wanted my mom to buy me anymore books so I started to make my own books made out of the newspaper and bound them together.
My inspiration to write just comes from life experiences I have encountered in life and allow others to travel the journey while seeing things from a different perspective. There is something about putting thoughts on paper and getting lost in the story that is fufiling. I love to reach people as they share how they are able to see things from a different light that they didn’t before.
C&G: What individuals in your life impacted you in pursuing your endeavor to become a published author?
CMW: My mother was an integral part of me actually taking the necessary steps to actually get published. All of my life she would tell me Chanz’e you are really talented with words and the ability to reach people. I would always laugh at her and tell her, “Mom everybody can write.” She would laugh back and say, “A lot of people may be able to write but not everybody can connect the dots and make an individual walk away reflecting on what was just written.” I also credit my late grandmother as well because as a child she would always tell me Chanz’e one day you are going to reach people. So here we are.
C&G: What attributes or qualities would you say contributed to assisting you on this journey.
CMW: I was a stenographer early in my 20′s I produced over 300 real-time verbatim court proceedings was able to perfect and hone in on my writing. I was able to learn all the different facets from editing and proof reading, and scoping. I was constantly sought after to take the record because all the professionals knew they were going to get a quality error-free product. That is exactly what I am doing with the books that I write. I am giving the people the best of me.
C&G: Share with us All I Want.
CMW: All I Want is my first children’s book in this empowering series. It came about after I kept hearing all the stories of the youth succumbing to the ways of the world. I had to go to work because I was one of them. I had my own moments of truth as a child that could have resulted in tragedy but I had my mother who took the time to invest in me and allow me to know that it would all be okay and in time I would see. This series is symbolic of my walk of life as a child and the transition of overcoming adversity with the love that my mother displayed upon me. My mission is simple to give to the youth what was given to me so they can live and thrive. I have one goal and one goal only and that is to take the youth back and allow them to know that they can believe in society and that there are truly people that have heard their cries and care for them. They are the way of the future.
C&G: What do you want your readers to obtain from your book?
CMW: I want my readers to know that this is a universal message that all can relate to because everyone in life goes through obstacles and challenges but how you overcome is largely in part with your ability to keep moving forward and to never forget who you are no matter what you face. The message is heartfelt and is reaching even the adults. It makes you think back on your life and reflect.
C&G: What do you hope to achieve as you continue on your quest to becoming a Best Selling Author one day?
CMW: I am driven with optimism to continue to pour out of myself and pour into others as I write from the soul of my being to bring to the people truth. I am hopeful that as I continue to work diligently that one individual at a time will feel the impact and will definitely know that what I seek to do will leave them meditating on the words and reflecting deep within themselves to uncover truly what life is about.
C&G: What is your next book that we can be anticipating?
CMW: I am currently working on getting an adult novel into production right now that is a story of how one woman survived Stage IV breast cancer when the doctor told her she only had a 60%-40% chance of survival. There are a lot of turns as you travel with her on her journey and uncover the strength to overcome as her life seemed to come crashing down in the blink of an eye.
C&G: Now how can readers connect with you?
CMW: Stay Connected at Facebook http://www.facebook.com/CreatingMemoriesWithin?ref=ts&fref=ts.
Stay Connected at Twitter https://twitter.com/ChanzeWitcher
C&G: Any final thoughts?
CMW: I want the people to know that anything they desire to accomplish is all within reach and just grab ahold of what you have and go to work with everything you have in you. The world awaits and is ready!

Very Nice article!
Chanz’e your work is truly amazing. I for one have been touched by All I Want and its ability to show our youth that they can be who they are and follow their dreams. They don’t have to fit a picture perfect image painted by our society. Thank you for stepping up and speaking out . Can’t wait to see what’s coming next!
Thank you Miriam. We have to invest in what matters most.
Yes, it is.
